I am a freelance writer with 30 years of experience writing for both consumer and trade magazines and websites. My main areas of expertise are food and cooking, consumer products, retail, commercial real estate, interior design, and home furnishings.
A graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education, I am skilled at testing and developing recipes as well as testing and evaluating cooking equipment for product reviews.
I launched my career as an industry reporter for trade magazines (first beat: vacuum cleaners!), which gave me a solid foundation in accuracy, research, and getting right to the point.
I’ve written 10 cookbooks ranging in topics from getting creative with packaged ramen noodles to making homemade condiments. Find them on Amazon.
I thrive on teaching my readers something they didn’t know, sharing the stories of others, and writing in a voice that makes people want to keep on reading.
My editorial background has served me well as a copywriter, and I pride myself on delivering informative, polished press releases and promotional copy that portrays a brand or company in its best possible light.
I love teaching people to cook! I’ve taught private and group lessons, giving my students a solid foundation so they can become more confident in the kitchen.
